Tyler Hofe’s oyster farm is nestled in the Pamlico Sound near the small town of Avon on Hatteras Island. Here he grows fatty, buttery Kinnakeeter oysters. They are a medium brine, medium shell size, medium cup depth and exceptional in flavor. Kinnakeeters are delicious oysters ready for shucking and service on the half shell.

The oysters are named for some of the earliest inhabitants of Hatteras Island. They lived in a community called Kinnakeet, which is now Avon.

Enjoying a cold Kinnakeeter oyster transports you straight to the coast, they way a good oyster should.
