Hatteras Island sits at the edge of our state. This barrier island is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Pamlico Sound to the west. The Hatteras Salts are grown in the quiet waters of the sound by Bill & Ryan Belter of Cape Hatteras Oyster Company. The water here is briny and clean, giving the Hatteras Salts a sweet-and-salty flavor.

Hatteras Salts are medium sized oysters that are easy to shuck. Enjoy them raw on the half shell with a cold beer and you will feel like you arrived on Hatteras Island yourself.
