Local photographer Tyler Northrup has been traveling east this year to capture some of our state’s working watermen and women.

His first stop this summer was at Slash Creek Oyster Farm in the Pamlico Sound near Hatteras Island. There he met Katherine McGlade & Spurgeon Stowe, owners and farmers of Slash Creek oysters.
