FEATURED SEAFOOD Hard Blue Crabs
Our hardshell North Carolina Blue Crabs are a summertime favorite. They’re available at our markets during the summer season. Steamed and served on newspaper, a crab picking is a classic way to spend an afternoon on the coast.
1 part water
1 part beer (and a few sips for the chef)
Old Bay seasoning
Combine water, vinegar, and beer in a steaming pot. Add a few dashes of Old Bay.
Add live crabs to steamer & sprinkling each layer with OLD BAY.
Steam for 25-30 min – until bright red. Remove and add more Old Bay if you prefer.
Eat on a newspaper covered table. Enjoy!
