Citrus & Rum Shrimp Skewers

2.5 pounds shrimp (peeled with tails on)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons dark rum
2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
2-3 cloves garlic minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons dark rum
2 tablespoons oil

Mix marinade (oil, rum, lemon or lime juice, garlic, red pepper flakes and salt) and shrimp. Cover, refrigerate and let it marinate for 30-60 minutes.
Skewer shrimp. Mix glaze and brush on shrimp prior to grilling/ broiling.

Grill 3 minutes each side or until shrimp is opaque.
